wish me luck

10 days until my already pitiful television situation shuts down completely. for the past 1 1/2 years we have been switching between our 4 local channels, maybe 5 if you count one that comes in real fuzzy. so yeah, we better count that one. which has caused us to enjoy some really crazy shows on KUED etc, like some favs on sundays, the antique roadshow, or the traveling show with the australian host dude or crazy white chick that will eat anything. those are the best. but alas, even those days will be over soon.

no new tv will be had. i can't justify spending anything on a new tv. i mean, go big or don't go, that is how i am. so no go. one treasure i recently have discovered though from a great friend is the glorious library of movies available at the orem library. we are talking a basement full of media. recent movies, whole tv seasons, etc. though you do have to pay a dollar a week to rent them, its still a better deal than the dollar box.

not that i watched much tv to begin with, because i get most of my must have shows online, bless you internet, but i am kind of excited for this to happen. just the mindless sitting down and watching crazy stuff when other people are, will come to a stop. i have been thinking about all the great ways i can spend that time. i want to read more, craft more, listen to more music, and be more industrious. i always have goals to do these things, but i think not having anything else around to distract me is going to change things.
